PocketMac® FAQ
Trivia & Legends
11.1 Who thought of the name "PocketMac®"?
Terence
Goggin's dad, Mark Goggin.
Originally, several people had
unofficially dubbed our effort "MactiveSync", as a play on
"ActiveSync", but it was suggested to us by some friends in Microsoft
that such a name might be frowned upon by their legal department.
11.2 How long has
PocketMac® existed?
The first version of PocketMac®
was released November of 2001.
Before that, Terence had been dreaming about it for at least a year.
11.3 Why did you make it?
We love our Macs and we love
our Pocket PCs. We imagine this is the same reason most people buy PocketMac®.
11.4 Will Microsoft or Apple buy you out?
We don't know, and we're
honestly not sure we'd want to sell just yet. After all, we're just getting
started and this is a lot of fun! We have a wonderful, supportive community of
customers who are as interested and passionate about our products as we are.
Of course, if you know someone
with a large suitcase full of cash, we'd certainly talk to them, but that's just
good common sense.
11.5 Are
there any Easter Eggs in PocketMac®?
Ooooh! Are there?
